Once you have made the decision to buy a home, it is important to sit down with your Realtor® and discuss your needs and what you should know. Knowledge is power. The Buyer’s Consulation is designed to help you understand the process. This is an interview, so make sure you are qualifying your Richmond Realtor® to make sure that they are a good fit for you. Here are 7 questions you should ask your Realtor®:

  1. How many transactions do you complete per year?

  2. Is this your full-time job?

  3. How do you handle Dual Agency? Do you represent Buyers and Sellers on the same transaction?

  4. What makes you stand out as a Buyer’s Agent? What sets you apart from other agents?

  5. Can you explain the process of home buying?

  6. How are you paid?

  7. When are you available to show me homes?

  8. Will you be my main point of contact throughout the process?

Once you have met with a Realtor® and determined that they are good fit for your needs, you get to move on to the fun part… starting your home search!
